Id just lkke to say that you have a really interesting site and those pictures are truly amazing! Ive always been interested in reptiles (snakes being my favorite) When I was younger I caught my 1st snake when I was about 4 or 5 in our house and have since then allways been intrested in snakes. As I grew older I got bored with the non-venomous snakes and started looking for Rattlesnakes as my only option living in Sacramento, CA. Eventually I got bitten by one after a few years of hunting them and have to spend a couple days in the hospitable. My parents wouldnt let me hunt them down anymore after that.

If you could send me any information on how to get involved in your type/ field of work please email me anytime. Thanks! Keep up the good work!

My son Clay is very interested in snakes and had a corn snake for 6 years. We got it when it was 3 or 4 so it lived a long good life. Thanks for the great information and interesting pics. And if I am every in the market for a King Cobra, I'll contact you (Don't hold your breathe!)

Thanks again

I just went through all of your pictures and they keep getting better and better so figured I would check back at your web site and see what's changed.
You know we've definitely traveled the same road and I also was into the occult and have been faithful to my maker for a long time now. Satan is a fake and a manipulator for sure and I've been having a go at it with my twenty year old daughter that has been drifting in the wrong direction to impress her friends, but I really trust my maker will grab her hand and heart and bring her back.
I just want to say I SO totally admire you and all of your work. One can hardly look at and touch our creatures in nature and not be assured there is a much stronger power than we are that has surely blessed us with so many different forms of life. Why I'm so drawn to snakes. They are so terribly misunderstood and victims of societies misinformation.
I won't hold you up, but I just wanted to say hello and thank you for all you've contributed to us snake owners with great admiration and total respect,
Carla

Ray,
I found your site while viewing images of Mambas and Hamadryad. Your site is great and I entered and immediately thought of the legendary Bill Haas. LO and behold you had those wonderful photos of Bill at his best! I had the good fortune to spend a morning at Bill's Inststute (The Miami Serpentarium?) in 1983.The King he was showing was 15 feet plus. The Banded Krait and Brussels Viper were almost as thrilling for me to see and hear Bill describe their venom toxicity and anecdotes. I believe he had serious bite reaction to Kraits. As a youngster around 1961 I attended Ross Allen's Park in Silver Springs. So why am I seeking snake images? I'm a novice artist and am inspired to sketch and paint some of these wonderful creatures. There is one photo of you standing and holding a huge Viper. I assume it is a Gaboon Viper. I am still a herpetologist at heart when I recall my interest in these animals as a kid.

Andre' I am a Snake freak and would like some more info about all the tipes of cobras you get? I am also interisted in vipers, rattles and Pythons. My favorite snake is the Gaboon Adder and had a baby for 3 days before letting it go. It was a fantastic Snake. I know the dangers of snakes and had also catched allot of them from small to large but only in South Africa. If you can supply me with some links of sites i can visit for information about the above snakes mentioned i would apreciate it.

Curt Haney Ray,
I found your website purely be accident. First let me thank you for your unashamed testimony about our Lord Jesus Christ. I too am a born again christian. Also thank you for what you do to promote the research and conservation of snakes. I read Bill haast's book when I was just an 8th grader (about 30 years ago) and have been "hooked" on snakes ever since. I have always just caught wild snakes in my area. Recently I've started a hobby of catch, document and release wild snakes to an area where there is less development. I've also recently become interested in collecting venom for purposes of research. How can I get started? Where can I donate or sell it? Is the market only for exotic snake venom such as Kraits or Cobras or do they also do research with venom from Rattlesnakes and other indigenous snakes. I'm located in south Alabama and any help you can give me would be very helpful and appreciated.
Thank you.

Carl Hi.

Cool website. My Dad and I have keep poisonsnakes for several years. I have helped him with all his, but now he say that I can have one. He dosen't keep cobraes because he think they're boring, but he said that I can have one!
So which cobra are kind of best to start with? I don't really like spitting cobraes.

Send a mail if you get this one to Snowleopard@ofir.dk 08/20/2005

anonymous You are a true lover of venomous snakes like myself. They are some of the most fascinating, and dangerous, animals on our planet. I hate the fact that you post some of the pics that you do of yourself handleing some of these guys. I've read why you do it, and hats off to you, but I still think it's reckless and gives too many impressionable people the wrong message. Remember that not everybody that views this page has had proper training and understands how dangerous these wonderful animals can be. Anyhow, you have a great website that alot of people can learn a thing or two from. And your outspoken love of Christ rocks!! Keep up the awesome website and the good work. 07/07/2005

Ray Hunter (site Owner) Dear K.P.:
Please rest assured that I will not remove your post from my site. I welcome all comments, good and bad. I would be silly to think that everyone in the world thinks the same way. That's why cars are made in differnt colors. I actually agree with some of what you wrote...and have stated so on my own site. I do not like or respect a show off. However, I don't presume to know that every person that handles a venomous snake differently than I or you may is a show off. To me, show off is in the attitude. We all do what works best for each of us. I am sure there are things you do that I would not do, but I'll chose to write it off as you and I are two differnt people, and not assume that you are doing it for any self gratuitous reasons. I handle the way I do consistantly, regardless of who, if anyone, is around with a camera. Those that know me know that my treatment of the animals is humane, and my concern for their well being is genuine. This is the largest reason I got out of the large scale reptile importation and sales business. Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.
Be Blessed,
Ray Hunter 12/07/2004

K.P. I keep Cobras too. I keep them as pets. I just think people (a LOT) of people show off too much. Just because they have a COBRA!! Big deal. ....and free handling cobras, mambas and other known venomous species isn't THAT impressing not to mention a bit of a bad example to a lot of people on the net. (or course,,so is a lot of other stuff on the net) but some day people in the states will not be allowed to have these creatures due to stupid people who get bit. GOSH, how freakin dumb. I know a lot of people are going to FREAK out after reading this most likely.....I was one of them myself at one time. But the cobras, mambas...etc etc sure don't ask these people (stupid humans) to harrass them for the sake of showing off. (like all the pics people take and post them) What ELSE is it? ...........It's showing off. What else would it be? I mean no harm in saying any of this...and I'm sure it's getting erased..or maybe not. I own cobras too and a lot of times I wish they were free to go were they WANT in the wild. But these days the wild is inhabited by STUPID HUMANS. So I lose either way and so do these animals. Love K. 12/07/2004

Bernie Kurecki Ray, It was good to here from you.Your website is tastefully done and enjoyable to visit. Unfortunately I'm not in the venomous snake or real estate market at this time. I wish you the very best in your business ventures in the future. As I'm sure you are aware I was the Chief-of-Staff at St. Lucie Medical for 2003. It took much more of my time than I ever expected. But I did a good job and received several awards for my service to the hospital. Thankfully my tenure is over and I'm getting a good chunk of my life back. With the time constraints I had I was unable to put together a presentable paper regarding the Hagan Viper bite you sustained, but I still have all the paperwork and hope to embark on that project in the future. I can't begin to imagine the amount of time you put into this website. It's really neat. How is your finger doing by the way? Keep in touch. Bernie Kurecki MD 02/04/2004

Fredrick Mansen Ray, I don't know if you remember me, but I bought a few cobras from you at the Hamburg, PA venomous reptiles show last year. They are all doing great. Let me know when you are offering c.b. king cobras. I enjoyed your new web site, especialy your Cobraman photos (you are one crazy dude!). It is good to see you profess your Christianity openly. You should put your testamonial on this site like Ricky did on the Exotic Reptiles Jungle site. Hope to see ya at the next Hamburg show.

Jerry Stano Ray, Thank you for sharing the great pics of you working with venomous snakes. I have heard a lot about you and your work with cobras on the internet. I would love to some day come to Florida and meet you. I have always had a big interest in poisonous snakes, but would never have the guts to handle them the way you do. I have heard that you have been bitten over 30 times. Is the fact that you are still alive due to your self immunizing with venoms from the snakes you work with? Anyway, keep up the good work, and good luck with your real estate adventure (hope you keep doing the cobras also).
